Dutch Security TechFund invests in SonicBee to make data access safe and compliant
TIIN Capital Backs SonicBee’s Mission for a Safer Digital Society
Naarden / Leusden, February 22nd, 2021 – Dutch Security TechFund invests in SonicBee, with which the TIIN Capital fund gives further substance to the goal of making society safer. This is done by investing in companies where cybersecurity is central. SonicBee, which has a clear vision of how data access and security should be addressed in companies, fits seamlessly with the strategy of the TIIN Capital fund to build a broad portfolio in this area.
SonicBee’s Intelligent Access Platform: Safeguarding Business and Personal Data
With the expertise and cloud-managed Intelligent Access platform of SonicBee, both large and medium-sized companies and (semi-) governments are assisted in organizing and securing all access to business and person-sensitive data. This is a very actual subject in view of the recent incidents at governments and businesses where data leaks arose because access was not properly arranged.
The Growing Importance of Secure Data Access
Anne van Naerssen and André Koot, respectively CCO and CCSO and co-founders of SonicBee, say: “The number of people and devices that must have access to data within an organization is increasing exponentially. By giving customers, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders access to specific data and applications, the mutual exchange of data increases, organizations can work more effectively and faster, and save a lot of costs. Therefore, accessing data and applications is possible safely, quickly and in accordance with the regulations. Not only for large companies, but also for SMEs. ”
On route to becoming a European leader in the IAM Services
SonicBee’s CEO, Patrick van der Valk, is enthusiastic about the investment of the Dutch Security TechFund. “It enables us to invest in further developing our Intelligent Access platform and to support our customers in setting up their data access and security safely, smartly and efficiently. We also experience the TIIN Capital team as a sparring partner to realize our ambition to become a European leader in the IAM services ”.
Enhancing Data Security together
For the fund, Michael Lucassen, managing partner at TIIN Capital, sees the SonicBee product as a wonderful technological solution and for that reason alone a great addition to the portfolio. “Recent incidents at government and industry where things went wrong once again underline the importance of data security and access control. As Dutch Security TechFund we believe in the technology, knowledge and ambition of SonicBee to make data security in the Netherlands and abroad safer across the board ”.
