[DUTCH EVENT] PAM and NIS2 – protect critical IT/OT access
What starts with stolen credentials does not have to end with access to core systems, sensitive data and disruption of continuity.
Security incidents often start small. With a stolen credential, for instance, a forgotten service account or an over-entitled role.
The real risk sits in the damage that can be done when an attack moves. When it escalates to privileged access and accounts, and, in doing so, reaches – and can exploit – critical systems and sensitive data in IT and/or OT environments.
But what if that access is hidden behind an added layer of security? Privileged Access Management (PAM) helps to make this type of access more manageable, controllable, and demonstrably more secure. That in and of itself is already a big boost to IAM maturity and security posture, and with NIS2 on the horizon it’ll soon even be a mandatory measure.
