Designing your IAM vision, strategy and roadmap

Solve your most pressing IAM challenges

Prioritizing IAM Investments

Without a clear strategy and an even clearer business case, your IAM investment can become costly and misaligned with business goals. We help you prioritize what’s most impactful and sustainable for your organization to ensure your IAM investment is cost-effective.

Technical Confidence in IAM

Even with the right tech in place, IAM depends on organizational buy-in and integration. We help you organise and set up IAM from a non-technical perspective and anchor IAM into your business by focusing on building engagement, clarity, and alignment for long-term success.

Stakeholder Perspectives in IAM

Understanding and integrating the requirements of different teams and stakeholders is key to IAM success. We ensure all their needs are known, clear, and accounted for in your roadmap.

Coming Back from a Hack

You experienced a hack or leak and are now either shut out or sealed shut. This is the time to fix your basics! We help you come back stronger, smarter, and more secure.

Limited Resources in IAM

Many organizations don’t have the in-house resource to follow through on an IAM strategy. Our program management services, led by our experts, ensure your roadmap is executed effectively and is designed to develop a basic level of relevant IAM capability throughout your organisation.

Error-Prone Manual Processes

Is managing complex, manual authorization processes in Excel taking up a lot of time and valuable resources? We help you transition to Role-Based, Policy-Based, or Attribute-Based Access Control (RBAC) depending on what suits your organisation best. We streamline and automate authorizations, reduce errors, and enhance efficiency, all of which in the end frees up your people to focus on more value-adding tasks.

Business case for IAM

Make IAM work for you

Much like ERP and CRM systems are inherently at the core of any modern business, investing in Identity and Access Management (IAM) is no different. All three are enablers you can’t afford to ignore if you want to set yourself up for success and are part of your organisation’s essential infrastructure. Or at least they should be!

And for IAM, don’t just think security—think streamlining operations, improving efficiency, and facilitating future growth. Once implemented, IAM unburdens your teams, automates key processes, and ensures secure access across the organization. The result? Big returns through reduced risks, freed up resources (time, money, fte), increased agility, and a stronger foundation for scaling and innovation. All it takes is the leap to make IAM work for you.

Through comprehensive engagement, we ensure all stakeholder needs are known and integrated, creating a fitted vision, strategy and roadmap that aligns with your people, your business strategy and priorities.
Our approach guarantees that your IAM investments target the most critical areas of your business, maximizing impact and efficiency.

Planning your IAM future can be tricky. How, for instance, do you know where to place your IAM investments and how can you be sure these investments pay off? We help you clarify that future. Our detailed roadmap provides a long-term approach, detailing the specific projects you need to realise your overall business goals, including their asset allocation and required time.

We provide change and program management support to guide you through every phase of the process, ensuring smooth transition and timely execution.

Our team consists of various IAM thought leaders that know IAM like the back of their hand. Internal alignment within our company ensures your project benefits from their experience.

We’re big enough to help you get ahead with professional and innovative service, and small enough to offer approachable and personal support whenever you need it.

Considering a new IAM tool: where to start?

The steps to IAM Business Advisory

After your first consultation, we’ll have a varying number of follow ups to go from initial contact to proposal and from proposal to project. Once we start, this is what you can expect from the kickoff phase: This is where we get to know each other. We prepare appointments and kick-off. You can expect an aligned project approach and deliverables that we share during the kickoff concluding this phase, which is bought into by your stakeholders. The goal is to make sure everyone involved with your IAM project understands it’s why-how-what.

Phase 1

Discovery and stakeholder consultation: analysing your current situation

Where do you stand now? First, we assess your current state through stakeholder talks, document analysis, system scans, and research. The outcome: a clear mapping of your IAM landscape, stakeholder needs, and an initial IAM Vision aligned with your goals.

Phase 2

Determine IAM Vision - Where do you want to go?

In this phase, we share and discuss concepted IAM vision from the prior phase with your stakeholders, co-create and optimise it to determine the final vision. Expect us to deliver your final IAM Vision, tested and optimized, aligned with overall business goals and stakeholder objectives.

Phase 3

Mapping our operating field: Architectural principles and goal architecture

This phase covers the drafting of architectural principles, sharing and testing with all relevant stakeholders, and adjusting it accordingly. At the end of this phase, you will have architectural principles and global goal architecture for IAM.

Phase 4

GAP Analysis and Strategy development

A deep dive into the efforts needed to achieve your desired IAM state, with a thorough analysis aligned to your IAM Vision. This includes quick wins to optimize your IAM environment and identifying gaps to bridge for realizing your full IAM strategy.

Phase 5

Roadmap creation and next steps
We create an actionable roadmap that prioritizes IAM projects and sets clear milestones for implementation. Ready to execute when you are!

Phase 6

Change and program management, implementation
If needed, we provide expert program management services to ensure your IAM roadmap is executed efficiently and effectively.

The timeline depends on your organization’s size, complexity, and regulatory landscape. Typically, we deliver an initial IAM vision within weeks and refine the full strategy and roadmap over 2-6 months – ensuring alignment with your business objectives and compliance needs.

Not necessarily. While having IAM expertise helps, SonicBee supports you end-to-end – from strategy to execution. If needed, we help you upskill your team, find the right partners, or even co-manage your IAM program.

We follow a business-driven IAM approach – ensuring that IAM supports growth, security, and compliance without adding unnecessary complexity. Our stakeholder workshops, maturity assessments, and industry benchmarks keep your IAM aligned with real business priorities.

Successful IAM projects require strong buy-in. We involve IT, security, HR, compliance, and business leaders through interactive workshops, structured feedback loops, and proof-of-value demos, making IAM a business enabler, not just an IT project.

Lack of resources shouldn’t stall progress. We prioritize quick wins, phase implementations, and help you build a business case for IAM investments. Our flexible support model ensures you move forward – even with limited internal capacity.

Tool selection is strategy-driven, not vendor-driven. We evaluate your business needs, compliance requirements, existing infrastructure, and future scalability to identify the best-fit IAM solution – whether for access governance, authentication, or authorization.
